High Energy Photon Source (HEPS) is one of the ten major scientific and technological infrastructures identified in the 13th Five-Year Plan for National Major Scientific and Technological Infrastructure Construction.
HEPS is a high-performance high-energy synchrotron radiation light source with an electron energy of 6 GeV, which mainly consists of accelerators, beamlines and experimental stations. As the fourth-generation synchrotron radiation light source in China, HEPS will be the first high-energy synchrotron radiation light source owned by China. HEPS is internationally advanced, and its main performance indexes rank among the top in the world. It has the highest spectral brightness in the world, which is higher than that of existing light sources and those under construction or to be constructed in the world.
In December 2020, Actionpower successfully undertook the design and manufacturing of a total of 128 power supplies through bidding, such as HEPS enhancer two-quadrupole magnet power supply, HEPS enhancer hexapole magnet power supply, HEPS intensifier correction magnet supply, HEPS storage ring hexapole and octupole magnet power supply, and HEPS high-energy transport line dipole magnet power supply. In May 2022, all indicators were qualified and the factory acceptance was successfully completed. At present, the power supply has been transported to HEPS Park in Huairou District of Beijing. After the site conditions are met, it will be installed in place and connected for commissioning.
